Colleagues,
I have spoken with a family friend of Wayne's this morning who is currently looking after Wayne's wife and daughter. There will be a memorial service on Saturday 17th July at 3pm. This will take place at The Bible Believers Fellowship Church, 41 Market Place, Pickering. Apparently the church is right in the middle of town, next door to Barclay's bank. Parking will be in the town and pay and display so bring coins.
Wayne will be then laid to rest with his father in Wales at a later date.
The family are happy for all to attend, but if you intend to stay to meet the family and take refreshments, please let me know for catering purposes. I will then relay this info.
Additionally a book of condolence will be opened, hopefully by tomorrow and available in the Excellence Centre. Again Mrs Jenkins wants as many staff and students to contribute with their thoughts and comments. Please encourage students to contribute but clearly not during lesson times as this will cause chaos!
I have also been informed that Wayne died as a result of a heart attack which would not have involved any suffering on his part.
Thank you
Tony
